  • Yes, it was created using guidelines from many organizations that specialize in sensitive eyes and skin along with Credo Beauty's Clean Guidelines - and our own customer data surrounding their unique (and sometimes rare) allergens. However, even with all of this research and data there is a very small percentage of customers who are sensitive to specific ingredients and have a reaction (such as someone who is sensitive to Aloe, one of the rarest allergies). We recommend following our "Irritation Isolation" guidance when trying any product for the first few times. Basically, think of it like a patch test. If you have very sensitive eyes, try it first without anything else on your eyes - no eye creams, serums, primers or eyeshadow - just use it by itself for a couple hours and see what develops.

  • Sunflower

  • No, however it will withstand some sweating and humidity. True waterproof mascaras contain ingredients that make it difficult to remove gently and can often be irritating to sensitive eyes.

  • We always want you to be gentle to your lashes. We like to use a soft cotton round pad with a clean makeup remover or coconut oil. Hold the pad against your lashes for a few seconds, then gently pull down. Repeat a time or two and your lashes are clean and ready for bed.

  • This formula starts off wet, but then dries up to the perfect feel a couple weeks and stays that way until it's expired (6-9 months) or empty.

  • There are two ways long lashed beauties keep mascara from getting on their eyelid. #1 is using a physical barrier while applying, between your lashes and lids (like a small clean piece of paper). The other way is to hold a hand mirror at your chin, and look down as far as you can, while lifting your eyebrows. This extends your eyelids as far as possible, and keeps your lashes away from them. Going slow, and wiggling vs just swiping is also helpful.

    Lash Project Mascara

    I really love this product! Large brush, smooth creamy formula, goes on easily, full long looking lashes, no flaking as the day goes on, washes off easily in the shower.

    Only reason for 4 stars is the ridiculous price for the small tube!!

    Thank you so much for your comments, we really appreciate that you love the formula. Our tube is designed to be compact but actually holds MORE mascara than most taller tubes! The amount in our tube (and on the label) is 10.5 mL (this translates to .39 oz or 11 g). Most other tall tubes range from .29 oz/8.5g to .35 oz/10g.

    We're so proud we were able to reduce waste by about 25% while delivering about 29% more mascara volume! Other tubes are made from more than one material (plastic on the inside and a metal component surrounding that plus a weight at the bottom in between the two to make it feel fancy). We use only one molded material (mono-material) so the circumference inside the tube is larger because the material is thinner.

    Without a weight, the entire case feels much lighter than most mascara cases. Generally, mascara cases include a small metal weight at the bottom to make them feel heavier than they are. We removed the weight because it's harder to recycle the case and it lowers the carbon foot print of moving the case from point A to B to C to D.

    Got this in desperation

    I developed very severe eye allergies to the new mascara and eye pencil I was using. It lasted for several weeks. After getting better I started researching hypoallergenic products and accidentally found Red Apple Lipstick's products. This was a completely blind buy, I was hoping it would turn out well, but feared it might not hold up as well based on my previous experiences with more "natural" products. I have received my mascara about a week ago. Happy to report that I have no reaction. I love the consistency, it's not overbearing like most Sephora type brands of mascara. It gives me a more natural look, but also visibly enhances my lashes. This is good stuff! I appreciate the quality as well as an eyes friendly ingredient list. I am switching to this brand now. P.S. I also purchased their eye/brow pencil and I love it as well.
