If I were forced to choose just one RAL eyeshadow, it would be Pixie Dust. The best talc-free, sheer pink I have used for years. Paired with Violet Vintage I can almost reproduce my once-beloved Px Rose Powder and Mushroom duo, which of course I would never buy now, even if Px were still open. Pixie Dust is the perfect eyelid base, concealing sun damage and creating a smooth base for any other RAL eyeshadow I choose. PD also looks very pretty blended with Innocence, creating a slightly glowing shell pink. Never any irritation because these eyeshadows contain no fragrance, synthetic dyes, talc, carmine, microplastics, or bismuth oxychloride. I just purchased what must be my 20th pan!

Innocence sat ignored for a while until I realized how brilliant it is blended with other colors. It cools them down or lightens them when I want to fly under the radar. It also softens Hello Darkness enough that I can use it as brow filler, now that Taken for Granite has been discontinued. My favorite Innocence application is blended with the matte Pixie Dust to create a slightly glowing shell pink. I also press Innocence into the inner-eye corners, between tear duct and bridge of nose to detract from that darkening, thinning-skin area. Even applied so close to the tear duct, I never experience watering, burning or itching. So grateful that these eyeshadows contain no Bismuth Oxychloride.

It seems that almost everyone looks amazing in browns and bronzes, but I look like a muddy cadaver. My cool-toned skin's version of "brown" is this gorgeous dusty lavender. I use a pencil brush to smudge along the upper lash line, or pop a circle of pigment in the outer corner (a la 80s/90s), or sweep it across the crease, very smooth and easy to blend. This shade was made for Pixie Dust. Together, those 2 create a clean replacement for the Prescriptives eyeshadow duo that I wore for the first 20 years of my makeup life. I have at least a dozen RAL eyeshadows, but Violet Vintage and Pixie Dust get the most use.
