Choosing Eyeshadows That Will Complement Your Eye Color -

/wp:heading wp:paragraph {"eb":{"id":"713132853694"}}

This topic is something we have all wondered about. With so many different eyeshadow colors on the market you can easily get decision paralysis or confused about what colors will look best on you. Choosing the right colors for eye makeup is actually pretty easy though. There are two main ways to choose eyeshadows that will enhance your eye color; the color wheel and going monochromatic .

/wp:paragraph wp:paragraph {"eb":{"id":"713132853694"}}

For both options you'll first want to evaluate your eye color. So grab your compact mirror and take a look at your pretty peepers. If you have a hard time telling what your eye color is or what the dominate color is it never hurts to ask a family member, friend or significant other for their opinion too.

Once you know your eye color it's time to take a look at a color wheel. When looking at a color wheel you'll first look for your eye color. (Brown eyes we got you, don't worry - keep reading). Then you'll find the color that's on the opposite side of the color wheel and that family of colors is what will make your eyes stand out and pop! We'll go into more detail below, but for now take a look at the color wheel for guidance.

The great news about brown eyes is that any eyeshadow will look great! This is because browns are more neutral. Let's dig deeper to find your best colors; go look at your eyes in the light. Decide if your brown eyes have a more reddish hue or a more golden hue to them. If your eyes have a mahogany (reddish) look to them, do the green family of shadows. If your brown eyes are more golden, opt for purples.

Out of all the eye colors, hazel can be the trickiest to choose colors for because there are usually many different colors found in the iris. In the case of hazel eyes, you'll want to find out what the dominate color in your eyes are, and then go from there. You can also make things easier on yourself and choose eyeshadows that will enhance the color that you wish to enhance. This will open up your color choices a bit more.

Similar to hazel, gray eyes are a mixture of several colors...usually blueish or greenish. So whatever the dominate color is, select the complementary colors for that eye color. Or choose whatever color you wish to enhance and go that way.

Try these shadows: To enhance the blue try Bronze Bombshell, and Down To Earth. Alternatively, to make your gray eyes look more green go the red route with Vamp. If your gray eyes have a lavender hue to them enhance that color with golden shadows like Golden Girl.
